2011 December Steelhead Guide Service

2011 December steelhead guide service

All-Ways Fishing December News Letter

December is prime time for the hatchery steelhead that are returning to the Bogachiel and Hoh Rivers. The Bogi has been kickin out lots of fish but it's now a little low and clear, however,  the Hoh as dropped into prime condition.

The days that I have fished we have limited or had multi fish days. The limit is three hatchery steelhead. I haven't seen much for native steelhead yet but there is some around.

The limit on native steelhead is one per year per person in the state of Washington. Note that some rivers do not allow retention of any wild steelhead at all.

The Sol Duc will start seeing fish in January. It also has hatchery steelhead from the Snider Creek hatchery which is manned by the Olympic Peninsula Guide Association. These fish are marked by a clipped left ventrical fin.

I would also like to thank everyone who made this last year a wonderful one with lots of memories. Hope everyone had as great of a time as I did and enjoyed their catches.

Merry Christmas to all!
