On a nice fall day on the Olympic Peninsula river the Sol Duc I and a couple of clients met up for a day of salmon fishing. I told them what the process was and what we needed to do. We floated down the river to where I had fished with great success for the last week. As usual the fish were still stacked up we got excited to see all the jumpers when we aproached the spot.
The first fish we hooked into was this crome brite 28lb king salmon. It took us for a ride and 20 minutes later it was in the net.
This is 4 of the 6 fish caught that day, three kings and three hatchery silvers. We also had to releise severial native silvers that we were not allowed to keep in Oct. Pictured are three kings, one silver and the Outcast rubber raft that took us down the river.
Now its time to take the pictures and clean the fish if I can find the knife.
This is a tipical day on the rivers around Forks on the Olympic Peninsula.
