I am now fishing bottom fish in the ocean and spring kings in the river.
Bottom fishing is great family fun with light gear and lots of action. With a daily limit of 10 sea bass and some lingcod you will have many fillets for the cooler. We fish close to shore where the scenery is beautiful and sea life viewing can be expected.
The ocean summer salmon seasons have been set. In area 3 (La Push) the regular salmon season will begin June 14th. You will be able to retain 2 salmon per angler, either two hatchery Coho (all wild Coho must be released), two Chinook or a combination of both.
The state is predicting a better run than last year, which was awesome, for both Chinook salmon and Coho salmon.
